Grand Opening of Golden Rice (Cambodia) Head Office and Showroom

Phnom Penh, Cambodia (Sep 8, 2010) — Golden Rice (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (“Golden Rice (Cambodia)”) officially opened today its new head office and showroom located along the National Road 5, only a few hundred meters from the Cambodian-Japanese Friendship Bridge (Chruoy Changvar bridge).

The three-storey office building consists of Golden Rice (Cambodia) administrative and operations offices, as well as a 250m²-showroom where the company’s high-quality rice products will be displayed to international buyers and local consumers.

Its rice products are not only exported to key markets in the European Union, but also in Asia such as Singapore. With the opening of Golden Rice (Cambodia) Showroom, the superior quality of Cambodian rice is now available for local consumers.

“Golden Rice (Cambodia) products have been very successful on the international market. The quality and taste of our Cambodian rice have been well recognized by international consumers. Now, local consumers have access to export quality rice products,” said Chan Vuthy, General Manager of Golden Rice (Cambodia).

Golden Rice (Cambodia)’s products range from Premium Jasmine Rice, to Fragrant Rice and Regular White Rice, with quality comparing to other luxury rice varieties in the region.

“We have stringent procedures and the necessary skills to control the quality at each stage of our production process to achieve quality finished products. Our well-equipped laboratory is able to conduct physical testing and control the Aflatoxin rate in our rice products. This is necessary to guarantee food safety for our consumers,” said Chan Vuthy, General Manager of Golden Rice.

Golden Rice (Cambodia) aims to contribute in branding Cambodian rice as a new label of international quality, especially for the export market, thanks to the inner quality of local rice varieties, its high-tech equipments and its committed staff members.

The showroom is open Monday to Sunday, from 8.00am to 6.00pm.
